As part of the California Community Colleges Workforce Development program, our mission is to support the development of the industry in California.
By providing hands-on training and entry-level work readiness for the laboratory workforce, we support industry responsive regional training programs that produce employable individuals with in-demand skills. Besides this ‘know-how,’ our courses provide the ‘know-why’ so that trained individuals can adapt to a dynamic industry with:
Lab Skills I – a broad set of foundational skills preparation for entry-level work
Lab Skills II – a broad set of additional skills to prepared students Most colleges have flexible programs consisting of Basic Lab Skills I and II which are designed to be flexible based on your preparation. Lab Skills I and II provide 200 hours of hands on training to assist students in reaching an Employability Milestone. Students with some background or preparation might want to join the Level II classes or special topics classes to meet their training needs. Visit your region, find a program that suits you and contact the program lead or regional representative for personalized assistance.
